The JobSkills Program will provide pre-training development for clients who have an interest in future 
employment within the mining/construction industry. JobSkills content includes 5 main themes:

  • Learning/Study Skills
  • Lifestyle Management
  • Assessment of Skill Levels
  • Organizational Skills
  • and Career Planning. 

At the conclusion of the training, clients will commence actions on their career map. An application and 
interview process will be utilised to select appropriate candidates. If you are a Kawacatoose First Nation,  Day Star First Nation or Muskowekwan First Nation Urban member looking to explore career and/or training options, then the JobSkills Program might be for you. 


  • Minimum Grade 10
  • Committed to enhancing positive lifestyle management and career mapping to lead to potential employment within the mining/construction industry. 

Preference will be given to candidates who have completed high school education and have required 
supports, such as transportation or childcare.

Program Dates and Location: 14 September to 4 December, 2015, SIIT Saskatoon Campus 

Income Support: An attendance based minimum wage support will be given
